Ultimate reliability thanks to the UNICASE housing concept

NORD produces all gear units with UNICASE housing – even for industrial gear units up to 282 kNm. UNICASE is a closed housing made from one piece of material, combining all parts of the gear unit. All bearing points are integrated, eliminating sealing surfaces that are subject to torque and radial loads. This way, bearings have a longer service life than those of gear units made from composite parts. They also ensure efficient power transmission and a high tolerance for peak loads and impacts. Large, low-friction roller bearings provide extremely high axial and radial load capacities, while the very precise shaft alignment guarantees a quiet operation.
