NORD MAXXDRIVE® XT: Industrial Gear Units for Conveyors

The new MAXXDRIVE® XT series by NORD DRIVESYSTEMS enhances the existing MAXXDRIVE gear units for applications with high thermal limit powers.

Continued targeted development for NORD MAXXDRIVE industrial gear units: The latest MAXXDRIVE® XT generation features an application-optimised two-stage helical bevel gear unit, especially suitable for belt conveyor systems. The power and speed range was especially designed for industries in which low speed ratios are required in combination with high powers. In the bulk material and mineral industries for example, particularly robust solutions are required which are resistant to dirt and are reliable under rough operating conditions.

<h2>MAXXDRIVE® XT Right-Angle Gear Units</h2>

MAXXDRIVE® XT industrial gear units are available in seven sizes for powers from 50 to 1,500 kW. Output torques range between 15 and 75 kNm with speed ratios from 6.3 to 22.4. In contrast to the previous industrial gear units, as standard the series is equipped with a heavily ribbed UNICASE housing and an integrated axial fan. Due to the increased surface and the air guide covers, the cooling air flow is optimised and a very high thermal limiting power is achieved. In many cases, additional cooling is not required. Large roller bearings and centre distances increase the load capacity and service life of the components.

In 2019, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS was honored with the Bulk Handling Award in the category “Excellence in the Application of Gears, Motors and Drives” for this innovative concept.
