NORD: In Finland for 25 years

NORD is close to its customers in more than 80 countries, ensuring smooth cooperation through 48 of its own subsidiaries and a network of sales partners. In April 1998, the Finnish subsidiary NORD Gear Oy was established in Tampere. This year, the NORD subsidiary celebrates its 25th anniversary.

NORD’s subsidiary in Finland concentrates on supplying the local market with bevel geared motors, push-on gear units, industrial gear units and integrated inverters. Important target industries and application areas for the manufacturer’s drive systems in Finland are the fields of material handling, mineral extraction, environmental technologies, and wood and paper.

Since its establishment 25 years ago, the NORD subsidiary has grown steadily and thus moved into new premises at Pirkkala, a suburb of Tampere, in 2013. An area of 900 m2 houses the administration and the production departments as well as the warehouse. “Our team provides comprehensive support and competent advice on engineering questions, and excellent customer service”, says managing director Antti Kekki. “Our aim is to remain successful and to maintain steady growth.”
