NORD subsidiary in the sunny south

To ensure highest standards worldwide with regard to product quality and service, NORD has established a global network of production, assembly and sales locations for its drive components. One of them is located in Oiã, Aveiro – Portugal.

The Portuguese subsidiary was established in September 2007 – 15 years ago – and specialises on assembly, marketing and services. This also includes technical advice and support as well as aftersales support – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The site’s product focus is on geared motors, UNIVERSAL SI worm gear units, NORDBLOC.1® housings and frequency inverters.

Applications and target markets can be found in sectors such as intralogistics, lifting systems and with OMS customers. “As within the entire NORD Group, we also focus on the customers and their special needs and requirements”, explains Alfredo Jesus, Managing Director at NORD Drivesystems PTP, Lda. "Fulfilling these requirements is the core business of our professional team that is mainly characterised by its community spirit and excellent communication.”
