Production in Italy starts the new year with fresh energy
The NORD DRIVESYSTEMS ITALY production location in San Giovanni Persiceto near Bologna was established in 1987 and is one of the main pillars of the NORD production. Drives are manufactured for the Italian market and electric motors for NORD subsidiaries worldwide.

“Here in Italy, we have achieved, optimised and modernised greatly in recent years and with regard to 2023 we are as confident as always”, says Emanuele Verì, Managing Director Sales at NORD DRIVESYSTEMS ITALY. “We hope to grow further and develop and implement many new projects in close coordination with our customers.” At the Italian location, 73 gear units are manufactured per day and all drive systems for the Italian market are assembled.
Target industries and applications include the areas of intralogistics, food and beverage, packaging and materials transport. The on-site production ensures short delivery times and efficient after sales service for the entire product range from electric motors, geared motors and gear units to frequency inverters.
The sales and service structure allows for maximum proximity to customers as well as comprehensive consultation and support. Thanks to the employee-bound workflow or one-piece flow, which was introduced in recent years in the spirit of lean production, many processes at NORD DRIVESYSTEMS ITALY have been optimised, productivity has been improved and an ergonomic and pleasant working environment has been created for the employees.
