TCO in its entirety

The purchase price is no longer the only purchase criterion for investment decisions. Rather, the focus is increasingly on the followon costs, e.g. for electricity consumption, administrative processes, service and maintenance, spare parts stocking or the disposal. After all, they account for around 80 to 85 percent of the Total Costs of Ownership of drive systems.

Careful consideration of all economic aspects is thus very worthwhile with regard to cost reductions and increases in efficiency in production.

The concept of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) provides support in this respect. By including all costs incurred over the entire product life cycle, detailed profitability calculations can be made and thus also reliable statements for and against an investment.
