Resource-saving Drive Concepts: NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at IFAT 2018

From 14 to 18 May 2018, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will be presenting intelligent and efficient drive solutions at IFAT, the world's leading exhibition for water, waste water, waste and raw materials management.

Bargteheide, 2018-05-07

On Stand 314 in Hall A1 visitors to the exhibition in Munich can discover the networked, autonomous and scalable drives from this North German manufacturer. The decentralised drive systems form master/slave groups which communicate intelligently with each other. This enables them to monitor and control entire sections of the system. For example, if a blockage occurs, this is detected and either removed automatically, or reported to the central control system, so that a networked substitute drive can be started.

In addition, NORD is showing an outlook for solutions for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. These are based on a PLC which is integrated into the frequency inverter. Drive and application data can be recorded and all available sensor and actuator data can be evaluated and processed.

As well as this, at this exhibition for sustainable environmental technologies, NORD will be showcasing its highly energy- efficient IE4 synchronous motors as well as intelligent frequency inverters with the new NORDBLOC.1 helical gear unit and the industrial gear unit series MAXXDRIVE which has been extended with additional sizes. A comprehensive modular service concept rounds off the range of offers from NORD.
