During its TCO consultation , NORD evaluates the total cost of ownership of the components and recommends how to optimally dimension the drive systems for efficient energy and cost management.

With its NORD ECO service , the drive specialist supports companies in the energy-efficient optimisation of retrofit applications. As a first step, they can use the NORD ECO Quick Calculator online to determine the estimated break-even point at which a retrofit becomes cost-effective. The system provider then uses NORD ECO to carry out a real-time analysis of the application’s energy consumption. On this basis, NORD draws up a proposal for the drive design, which can improve the system’s performance and efficiency.

Finally, NORD offers products that enable customers to implement drive systems in line with the recommendations. The best-known examples are the IE5+ synchronous motor and the integrated DuoDrive gearmotor concept.
