Information About This Apprenticeship at NORD

During your apprenticeship as a Machining Technician, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to manufacture precision metal components for our drive systems. Your training will include milling, welding, drilling, machining, and CNC-controlled turning.

The apprenticeship combines hands-on practical training with theoretical instruction. The practical phases take place at your NORD training location, while the theoretical instruction is completed at vocational school.

What to Expect at NORD

We place great importance on providing strong support throughout your apprenticeship. In addition to an apprenticeship coordinator who will be available as your main point of contact, experienced trainers in the relevant specialist areas will provide guidance and practical support throughout your training.

You’ll become an important part of our teams and work in a collaborative environment where everyone is treated with respect. Through your experience in different specialist areas, you’ll gain insight into a variety of tasks and develop valuable practical skills.

What We’re Looking For

  • A secondary school diploma or equivalent, or A-average, with strong grades in core subjects
  • Manual dexterity and an interest in practical, hands-on work
  • A precise and reliable approach to work
