NORD takes the health and safety of our employees very seriously. We provide all necessary training and protective equipment for employees to incorporate into their operating procedures and job assignments. NORD also has reimbursement programs for specialized safety equipment such as steel-toed boots and prescription safety eyewear.

Safety Training

All NORD employees receive general safety training, including an overview of fire, tornado, and injury procedures. Additional job-specific training, permits, and certifications are provided for roles requiring use of heavy equipment, paint booths, and other higher risk areas. Safety training topics include:

  • Company andemployee responsibilities
  • Hazard identification
  • Basic first aid and CPR
  • Proper selection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Lock out/tag out procedures
  • Electrical safety
  • Chemical safety
  • Large parts handling
  • Safe material disposal
  • All other OHSA and government-mandated training
