Compact Right-Angle Drives for Traveling Applications

The MAXXDRIVE® XJ industrial gear unit is available as a three-stage right-angle gear unit and is built on the proven UNICASE™ housing principle. Designed to accommodate high external loads, the housing features an extended center distance that creates a compact J-shaped shaft arrangement.

This unique configuration allows the MAXXDRIVE XJ to deliver high performance in applications with limited installation space, making it particularly well suited for traveling drives and other heavy-duty material handling systems.

Many options are shared with the proven MAXXDRIVE modular industrial gear unit platform, enabling short planning and delivery times. Extensive application expertise and strategic component stocking ensure efficient project execution and fast availability.

  • IEC or NEMA motor adapter, or free input shaft
  • Foot-mounted or shaft-mounted design with torque arm
  • Solid shaft or hollow shaft output (keyway, shrink disc, DIN 5480)
  • Brake attachment via input flange or brake console
  • Optional output coupling (drum coupling)
